Description
Bullinghope Court is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century, with later alterations. It features a timber frame with brick and plaster infill, tiled roofs, and brick stacks. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with one arm extending to the east-north-east and another to the south-south-east. It has a cellar, two storeys, and attics.
The west elevation includes one window, which is a 5-light early 20th-century casement located in the first floor of the gable front. Above this, in the attic, there is a similar three-light casement. On the ground floor, there is a large 6-pane window to the right of an early 20th-century brick gabled bay window that conceals a former entry. The right section features a mid-20th-century French casement set in framing with four panels extending from the cill to the wall-plate, along with one angle strut to the first floor. The gable front has the same number of panels.
The north elevation displays three square panels from the cill to the first floor and two rectangular panels from the first floor to the wall plate. The south elevation has two attic gables and an entry. Inside, the farmhouse is noted for its panelled ceilings formed from stop-chamfered beams.
