Description

This dovecot, located approximately 20 meters south-west of Upper Bache Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a square-headed doorway on the north-west side. Each face of the dovecot is gabled and includes a blank rectangular inset. There is also a rectangular glover with a weathervane. Inside, the dovecot retains 700 integral nesting boxes and landing ledges.
