Description

The monument to the Smith family, located 20 meters north of St John's Church, is a chest tomb dating from 1829. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and features inscribed circular panels with decorative paterae in the spandrels. The monument has a moulded base, a pulvinated frieze, and a cornice. Additionally, a mid-18th century memorial has been inserted into the east end of the tomb.
