Description

The churchyard seat, located in the northwest corner of the churchyard, was built in the late 19th to early 20th century for Lady Henry Somerset of Eastnor Castle. It features a tall rubble wall topped with ashlar coping and has a plain tiled pentice roof that is bracketed out over the seat. The seat is canted in plan. On the back, there are five terracotta relief panels that are freely moulded, depicting figures of "Ceres," an angel breaking a chain of death, Christ the King, an angel holding a Christ child, and "Sower of Seed," with inscriptions below each panel. The panels are separated by fluted pilasters.
