4/28 Clock Tower Cottage (formerly listed as Cottage 18.11.52 at Eastnor Farmhouse)

Cottage and cartshed. Mid-C19 but incorporating a C17 bell and clock tower. Rubble with brick dressings; hipped plain tiled roof. The- ground floor has 4 segmental headed cart entries. Two 3-light casement windows on first floor; door in gable end is at ground level and the cottage is built into the slope. In the centre of the roof is the clock tower or bell turret moved to this building in the C20 having formerly been on the old stable block at Eastnor Castle; open arcaded sides, dentilled cornice and lead domed top; octagonal clock face; weathervane is dated TC (Thomas Cocks) 1683 and the bell is said to be inscribed "Thomas Cocks AD 169-".
