Description
Castle Lodge and Gates is a lodge for Eastnor Castle, built around 1811-1820 by architect Robert Smirke for the 2nd Lord Somers. The structure is made of coursed, squared rubble, with a roof concealed behind an embattled parapet. It features a two-stage tower on the left and a single-storey wing on the right, each having a single round-headed window set in a deep embrasure. There is a square-headed window on the second stage of the tower. To the left, there is a 20th-century extension that is not of special interest. Decorative wrought-iron gates are located to the right of the lodge.
