Description
The lodge and surrounding walls, built in 1846, are located to the south-east and south-west of Lord R E Somerset's Monument. The lodge is constructed from coursed square rubble and features a Cotswold slate roof with overhanging bracketed eaves. It is a single storey building with attics, designed in an L-shape. The lodge has 2-light casement windows set under relieving arches and a plank door located in a lean-to porch at the re-entrant angle. The walls that surround the site of the monument are made of low coursed squared rubble, with capped piers on the south-east and south-west sides.
