Description

Nos. 19B and 21 Burgess Street is a house that has been converted into offices and dwellings. It dates from the 17th century and features a roughcast exterior with a plain tile roof that includes some old tiles. There is a brick corner stack on the right and a brick composite stack at the rear. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar, with a two-window range. The windows are 20th-century two-light casements, and there are two 18th-century gable dormers with 20th-century two-light casements.

The entrance is located on the left and features a 19th-century four-moulded-panel door set in an earlier chamfered case, topped by a simple hood. There are also two late 19th-century 2/2 sash windows in broad cases, and a storey band runs across the building. On the right side, which is the returned side of No. 12 Rainbow Street, there is a roughcast gable with two 19th-century casements and a late 19th-century shop front that includes a four-moulded-panel door and a window with moulded glazing shafts, all under a moulded hood.

At the rear, which corresponds to No. 10 Rainbow Street, there is a timber-frame and plaster structure featuring a 20th-century 4/8 sash window in a simple architrave, a 19th-century box dormer, and a 20th-century door and casement in brick, topped with a simple hood. The interior has not been inspected.
