Description
15 Burgess Street is a house that has been converted into a magistrates' court, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a Welsh slate roof, with a brick stack on the left rear, a reduced brick stack on the right rear, and another brick stack on the rear wing. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range with 6/6 sash windows beneath gauged brick flat arches, and a stucco sillband.
The central entrance consists of a late 19th-century studded part-glazed panelled door set within a stucco doorcase that has a pediment supported by pilasters. This entrance is flanked by additional 6/6 sash windows, also under gauged brick flat arches. The left and right sides of the building are returned and finished in stucco. At the rear, there is a wing featuring a 3/3 sash window in a moulded stucco architrave, complete with a corbelled sill. The interior has not been inspected.
