Description

The two Cecil memorials, located approximately 20 meters southwest of the Church of St Mary, are a pair of chest tombs from the early 19th century. They are made of sandstone ashlar and have a rectangular plan. Each tomb features moulded bases and capping, with reeded bands flanking a rectangular inscription panel. The northern tomb is dated 1813 and has an incised lozenge, while the southern tomb has plain sides and also features an incised lozenge. These memorials commemorate members of the Cecil family.
