SO 74 SW COLWALL CP B 4218 (north side) 3/46 Coachman's and Kennelmen's bothy and kennels about - 30yards north of Barton Court

Cottage and kennels. Mid C19. Rubble with brick dressings, plain tiled roof. Single cell with 2 kennels. 2 storeys, entered from south by rustic branch porch; one window to first floor; the ground floor window is on the west return; south gable has a small wooden bellcote and block, further first floor window to north. The 2 kennels are lean-tos separated by a yard with railings and have a common wall which extends from the south east corner of cottage. Behind the wall is a lean-to structure for chickens and another kennel. Interior: retains elliptical hood fireplace and stairs to upper floor. Clock by T F Cooper, Calthorpe Street, London, 1845.
