Description

Burghope is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century and was extended in the 18th century. It features a timber-frame construction with render on the south elevation and has plain tiled roofs. The building is arranged in an L-shape, encompassing two parallel timber-framed ranges. The south elevation has two storeys and a gable-lit attic, with three mid-20th century casement windows that have shutters. There is a central gabled porch with side access from the right-hand side. To the right, there is a brick lean-to, and to the left, a low brick extension. The timber frame is visible on the north-west side, consisting of five panels high from the cill to the wall-plate.
