Description
Wellington Court is a house, likely built in the mid-18th century, and reputedly on the site of a building damaged by fire. It is constructed of pink coloured brick on a coursed sandstone plinth, with blue bricks forming segmental arches over the ground floor windows. The roof is slate, hipped, with a truncated brick stack in the centre left. The building has a rectangular plan, five bays wide by four deep, with the east-facing front featuring a two-bay projection to the left. Two storeys in height, the east elevation has a 2:3 bay arrangement. A three-course brick plat band runs along the elevation, with alternating blue brickwork highlighting the heads of the ground floor windows on the right and left sides. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. There is a blind upper centre window on the right-hand side. Console brackets, similar to those at Bridge Farmhouse, support a flat hood over an 8-panelled 18th-century door, the top two panels being glazed and fielded.
