Description
Kippernoll is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century. It is built of coursed rubble, with part of the front covered in roughcast, and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two stone stacks with detached brick shafts, one located at the north gable and the other at the south-east. The layout is T-shaped, with the central arm facing west.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows, though the arrangement of these windows appears irregular. The west elevation showcases a roughcast finish on the gabled central arm, which juts out on four moulded wooden brackets. The fenestration is mostly made up of early 19th-century iron casements with two lights, including one under the central gable that has a hood. To the left of the central arm, there is a mid-20th-century wooden casement above a contemporary entrance door. The main entry is located in the projecting arm and is accessed through an early 19th-century panelled door.
Inside, the farmhouse retains 18th-century panelling with fluted surrounds in the south room on the ground floor.
