Description

Meer Court is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century, with later alterations. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill and sandstone, partly rendered, and has tiled roofs with brick stacks. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with the main range oriented north-west to south-east and a small wing extending towards the south-west from the north-west end.

The farmhouse is two storeys high. On the south elevation, there are three mid-19th century casement windows with two lights each. The ground floor includes two casements with three lights under cambered heads on the centre and left, and another with two lights on the right side. An external stack rises between the two cambered openings, and there is a ledged door with fillets to the right of centre. The gable front to the left is partly obscured by a single-storey mid-19th century extension. To the left of the main range, there is a brick end stack. The timber frame consists of thin scantling forming irregular squares, which are partly hidden by render. The north elevation features a timber-framed lean-to extension. Inside, the property has heavy chamfered ceiling beams.
