Farmhouse. C17, altered C19. Sandstone rubble; timber-frame and brick; render; plain tile roof; 2 rubble stacks and, to right, lateral buttress stack, with C20 brick chimney. E-shaped on plan, with advanced gable-wings to single-storey range. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range: 2-light casement under wood hood and, to right gable, C19 3-light casement under brick segmental arch, with C20 2-light casement to gable over. Central range has large gabled roof dormer with early C19 3-light window with central metal casement and leaded lights. Entrance to centre right: plank door in beaded oak case under simple hood. To right: two 3-light casements and fixed light, with some leaded lights. Right returned side: 2 tiers of early C19 cross-windows. Rubble wing to rear, containing timber-framing. Left returned side: C17 timber-framing, with brick infill, over rubble. Rear: timber-framing with brick and plaster infill; C18 and C19 lights and casements; C20 plank door; C19 plank door under simple porch. INTERIOR: not inspected, but known to contain deep-chamfered ceiling beams.
