Description

This is a barn located about 15 yards south-west of Hartlands, likely built in the 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure with regular brick infill panels, and the outside frame is extended with rubble and brick. The thatched roof continues over the extensions. The barn has one bay and an east entrance that includes an 18th-century ledged door through a rebuilt rubble end wall. There is also a ledged gable door and three panels extending from the cill to the tie-beam. Inside, a cider press is integrated into the structure just inside the entrance door. This barn is part of an important primitive group with the barn immediately to the west.
