Description

This dovecote, located about 30 yards south of Poston Court Farmhouse, dates from the mid-19th century and has been altered. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof. The building is octagonal in shape, with recessed segmental headed panels between pilasters at the corners of each side. It has a dentilled eaves cornice and a central lantern. Garage doors face Poston Court Farmhouse. The interior is reported to still have nesting boxes and may have once served as a cock pit.
