Description

This dovecote, located approximately 10 meters west of number 84 (Crowmarsh Battle Farm), is likely from the late 17th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain-tile hipped roof, with a sheet metal-covered glover. The dovecote has an octagonal plan and includes a segmental-headed doorway with a plank door, along with a round opening above it. There is a dentil cornice at the eaves and brick nests inside. This structure is part of a notable group of farm buildings. An early 20th-century painted inscription on a post refers to the date 1684, although it is now obscured.
