Description

Crowmarsh Battle Farmhouse is a farmhouse, probably built in the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It has a rendered exterior, likely over brick, and features a hipped roof made of Welsh slate with brick chimney stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high with a four-window range.

There is a central 20th-century porch that has a gabled roof and a panelled half-glazed door. To the left, there is a two-storey angled bay window with sash windows. A 16-pane sash window is located to the right of the center and on the left return of the cross-wing to the right. There is also a 20th-century metal casement window at the end of the cross-wing. Additionally, a 16-pane sash window is situated between the ground and first floors to the left of the center, with another 16-pane sash on the first floor to the right of the center and on the left return of the cross-wing. The building has end stacks on the left and at the end of the cross-wing.

At the rear, the structure is made of coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings, featuring 19th-century window arrangements on the ground floor. The first floor has 16-pane unhorned sash windows, except for a 12-pane sash on the left. The interior has not been inspected. This farmhouse is part of a notable group of farm buildings.
