Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and is colour-washed, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan featuring a central entrance hall and two rooms at the front, which is symmetrical with three bays and two storeys plus an attic.

The entrance is marked by a doorcase that has pilasters supporting an entablature and a hood. The door itself is panelled and sits beneath a moulded lintel with an overlight in a panelled reveal. The windows are 12-pane sashes set in reveals with sills beneath segmental arches. The eaves are stepped, and there are two ornate 19th-century ridge stacks that have pointed chamfered slits in their shafts, a dentilled brick cornice, and square pots.

On the left side of the building, there is a 20th-century inserted door and a 19th-century canted bay window on the ground floor, which features plate-glass sashes, a cornice, and a flat hood. Above it, there is a 6-pane sliding sash window in the attic beneath a segmental arch. The right side has a 20th-century inserted door and window on the ground floor, while the first floor has a 12-pane flush sash window and an attic hatch with a boarded door.

Inside, the farmhouse features an open-well staircase with a corniced handrail and plain balusters, although the interior has not been fully investigated.
