Description
Lower Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 18th century with a front that is probably from the early 19th century. It features painted render, likely over brick, and has a slate hipped roof with lead ridges and brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range. There is a six-panel door with an overlight and an open wood trellis porch located to the left of centre. To the left, there is a tripartite sash window, and another tripartite sash window is positioned to the right of centre. There is a blank recessed panel to the right. A wrought iron verandah is present on the ground floor. On the first floor, there is a tripartite sash window to the left and one right of centre, along with a 12-pane sash window to the left of centre and a blind panel to the right. Internal stacks are located to the left and right. At the rear, there is an 18th-century two-light wood leaded casement window on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
