Description

The dovecote located immediately northeast of Court Farmhouse dates from the 18th century. It is constructed from random and coursed rubble limestone and features a plain tile roof. The building is rectangular, with the main roof running north-south. On the west side, there is a half gable that once had a loft doorway, which has been removed, leaving a small opening with a leaded casement window. The north gable end contains six rows of pigeon holes, each with separate perches. Below this, there is an off-centre lean-to that has a doorway with a timber lintel and a plank door to the right. The roof appears to have been replaced in the late 19th century. An attached barn to the east is not of special interest.
