Description

This is a dovecote located north-west of the Lodge Cottage at the Old Rectory, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a clay tile roof. The dovecote has a small, square plan and stands two stories tall with a hipped roof. At the top, there is a small gabled wood lantern with bargeboards and finials, which provides access for birds. The south elevation has a central plank door beneath a timber lintel, and a first-floor window with glazing bars set under a cambered head. The dovecote is listed for its group value with the nearby barn, Lodge Cottage, and the Old Rectory.
