Description
Chadwell Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with later alterations. It features a rough cast exterior on a timber frame and has a clay tiled roof with a parapet. The original two-bay block was extended to the north and transformed into a double pile plan by adding a parallel block to the rear, likely in the 19th century. The building has two storeys and C20 casements throughout. The front door, which is off-centre, dates from the early 19th century and is set in a moulded surround with six panels, the top two pairs being glazed and topped with a bracketed hood. There is also a central door of a similar style at the rear. Additionally, there is a C20 single storey extension at the north gable end.
