Description

This is a barn located approximately 25 meters south-west of The Woodhouse, dating from the 17th or 18th century. The barn is partially obscured by later 20th-century buildings that are not included in this listing. It features a timber frame set on a sandstone plinth, with some woven infill still visible, and has weatherboard cladding on the gable ends. The roof is covered with slate. The barn consists of six bays arranged in a north-east to south-west orientation, with a central threshing floor. It includes inclined strut trusses and four square panelled framing extending from the sill to the wall-plate. This barn is included in the listing for its group value.
