Description

This is a barn located approximately 30 metres south-west of Castle Farmhouse, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is timber-framed and features weatherboard cladding, a sandstone plinth, and a sandstone rubble gable end on the south side. The roof is partly covered with pantiles and partly with corrugated metal. The barn consists of five bays aligned north to south, with a central threshing floor and a lean-to on one side. The structure includes four square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, two struts to the collar with V-struts, and lozenge framing on the north gable end.
