Description

The Malt House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick and rendered infill, as well as coursed rubble gable ends, topped with a combination of slate and tile roofing. The building has a U-shaped plan, consisting of a four-bay front range and rear wings made of rubble to the south. The north front is one storey with an attic on the left, which is illuminated by a gabled dormer. There are three single-light casement windows, and the entrance is located to the right of the centre, featuring a gabled wooden canopy and a ledged and boarded door. The framing consists of three square panels high.
