3/72 Cow shed approximately 20 m north-west of Wain Farmhouse

GV II

Cow shed. Dated 1679, with later C18 additions and C20 alterations. Sandstone rubble with corrugated metal roof. Two bays aligned north/south with square-headed doorway, later added three bays adjoin to north with further three doorways, formerly with loft, square frame of former diamond mullioned window survives to south gable end. Included as a dated example for group value.
