Description

This cow shed, located approximately 20 meters north-west of Wain Farmhouse, dates back to 1679 and features later additions from the 18th century as well as alterations from the 20th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and has a corrugated metal roof. The structure consists of two bays aligned north to south, with a square-headed doorway. To the north, there are three additional bays that have been added, which include three further doorways. The south gable end retains the square frame of a former diamond mullioned window, indicating its historical significance. This building is included for its dated example and group value context.
