Description
These cowsheds, located 10 meters south of The Old Farmhouse, date from the 18th century and were partially altered and raised in the 19th and 20th centuries. They are constructed from coursed rubble limestone. The two bays at the southern end of the range have a hipped thatch roof and are single-storey, each featuring a stable door and an unglazed window. The wide bay at the northern end is raised and has a roof covered with 20th-century tiles, along with a loft. The side facing the yard includes a 4-pane sash window in an altered opening with a wooden lintel, while the gable end has stone steps leading up to the loft door. The thatched section retains its original roof structure, which consists of rough collar and tie-beam trusses and double purlins. This building is included for its group value.
