Description

This is a barn and cow shed located approximately 15 meters east of Great Hunt House Farmhouse. It dates from the early 18th century, with the date 1703 inscribed on the lintel of the main barn entrance. The structure is built from sandstone rubble and has a corrugated metal roof. The barn consists of five bays and is aligned north to south, while a three-bay cow shed extends to the west at the south end. There is a threshing floor entrance with a lean-to porch at the angle of the L-shaped building. The west gable end of the cow shed features three square-headed doorways, and the roof is supported by inclined strut trusses.
