Description
The barn and cattle shed range located to the west of Holyman's Farmhouse dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of witchert with a roughcast finish, sitting on a rubblestone plinth. The barn features an old tiled roof, while the cattle shed has an asbestos roof. The barn consists of three bays with a central entry; the draught door faces north and is flanked by raking buttresses. The outer bays on the north side have triangular ventilation slits, and the east gable is weatherboarded. The roof is supported by double purlins with curved principals and an upper collar. To the left, there are an additional two bays with a hipped gable and 19th-century machine-made kingpost trusses. The cattle shed, which forms the west wing, has four bays and a weatherboarded farmyard elevation, with a single purlin roof featuring queen strut and collar trusses.
