Description
This building is a barn, cart shed, and stable located approximately 15 meters north of Barns Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of dressed sandstone and features hipped and gabled clay pantile roofs with stone ridge and gable copings. The barn is designed in an "L" shape and has a lean-to extension on its south face, while its north and east sides are concealed by additional extensions. The stable doors are located on the south face. The cart shed is attached to the west end of the barn and includes elliptical-headed cart openings with voussoirs on the west and north faces, along with boarded hayloft openings. A lean-to stable is also attached to the south face of the barn. There are late 20th-century lean-to sheds on the north side of the barn and a late 20th-century byre on the south side, which are not of interest.
