Description

Farm Cottages east of Barns Farmhouse is a terrace of three farm cottages, with Nos. 2 and 3 dating from the early to mid-19th century and No. 1 from the late 19th century. The cottages are constructed of dressed sandstone, with brick at the rear, and feature late 20th-century interlocking clay pantiles along with stone ridge and gable copings. The end and ridge stacks have been rebuilt in brick and stone. The cottages are two storeys high.

No. 1 has two windows and is accessed through a boarded door located in the left return. It features sash windows with glazing bars and rendered brick sills. No. 2, which is attached to the right side of No. 1, also has two windows and a central boarded door. The ground floor sash windows have been renewed but still feature glazing bars. No. 3, located to the right of No. 2, has one window and a boarded door to the left, with sash windows that include glazing bars. There is a late 20th-century farm outbuilding adjacent to the right side of No. 3, which is not of interest.
