Description
Nos. 1 and 2 Church Lane is a stable building from the early 19th century that was converted into two cottages around 1900. It is constructed of dressed sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and gable copings, as well as shaped kneelers. The building is single storey and symmetrical, with each cottage having a central doorway flanked by a window on either side. The doors are three-panelled, and No. 1 includes an overlight. The windows are sashes set in original chamfered, mullioned openings. There are also two metal-latticed garret lights in the left gable. At the rear of each cottage, there are lean-to pent wings.
