9/76 Barn about 25 yards north of Court House Farmhouse

GV II

Barn and hayloft, now partly garage. Probably C18, with later alterations. Timber-frame and weatherboards with sandstone rubble and timber-framed weatherboarded extension. Welsh slate roof. Rectangular plan of three plus one bays aligned north/south. Two levels. East elevation has three loft openings. Full-height entry to right. Beneath the centre are three openings to garage. Left part has rubble first floor. Frame is mostly three square panels high from cill to wall-plate. Interior has unusual trusses, each with a pair of outwardly inclined struts from tie to collar and another such pair from collar to principals. Included for group value.
