Description
This barn, located about 25 yards north-north-west of the Court House, is likely from the 18th century. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and a timber frame that is weatherboarded, topped with a tiled roof. The barn has five bays running in a north-north-east to south-south-west direction and consists of two levels. The west elevation includes a loft opening roughly in the center, along with two wagon entries, each fitted with two-leaved ledged doors, positioned one bay in from the gable ends. Inside, there is a toilet at the north end. The trusses are designed with raking struts connecting the ties to the principals, and there are wind-braces above the rectangular single-panel-high wall framing.
