Description
This building consists of a barn, cowhouse, and hay loft, located about 50 metres west of Old Court. It dates from the 18th century and early 19th century. The structure is timber-framed and weatherboarded, sitting on a rubble plinth, with a pantile roof and stone slates at the eaves, along with a corrugated iron roof. The building is aligned east-west, with the barn at the west end featuring five framed bays and a central threshing floor. The cowhouse to the east has six framed bays and a hay loft above it.
In the barn, the trusses over the threshing bay include four raking struts and long tension braces below the tie-beam, while the other trusses are king posts with raking struts rising from their bases. The walls consist of single rectangular panels. The cowhouse has a ground floor made of rubble, with two slatted windows on the left flanking the entrance and two half-glazed windows on the right. The upper floor is partially weatherboarded and partly open for use as a hay loft, with trusses that have queen struts to the collar. The right (east) gable of the cowhouse is made of rubble.
