Description

MORDIFORD CP - SO 53 NE 5/127 Dovecote and garden wall approximately 30 m 26.1.67 north-west of Old Sufton (Formerly listed as Dovecote GV at Old Stufton II Dovecote and garden wall which extends to north-west of Old Sufton (qv). C18 dovecote, largely C19 wall. Brick with slate roof surmounted by lantern, brick with with part sandstone rubble footings. Circular dove- cote with entrance to west, central lantern. Interior retains rows of nesting boxes. Wall with pilaster buttressing at regular intervals stepped down the hillside.
