Description

Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with extensions made in the mid-19th century and some alterations in the mid-20th century. The building features a timber frame with rendered infill, topped by a tile roof. The original structure consists of two framed bays aligned north-west to south-east, which were extended to the south-east in the 19th century.

The north-east front, facing the road, is two storeys high. The 17th-century section on the right has two windows, both of which are two-light casements from the 20th century with plank weatherings. On the ground floor, there is a fixed casement window to the left and a three-light casement to the right, both also featuring plank weatherings. To the left of this section, there is a single bay with lower framing that includes a two-light casement above a three-light casement, connecting to the 19th-century portion. This later section has two two-light casements set under brick segmental heads. The entrance on the right is sheltered by a hipped tiled canopy. The framing is close-studded, with a mid-rail and straight angle braces. The northern gable features two collars with close-studding and V-struts in the apex.

Inside, the farmhouse has exposed chamfered and stopped ceiling beams.
