RICHARD'S CASTLE CP THE GREEN SO 47 SE 1/124 Old Church Cottage 11.6.59 GV II

House. Early C17 extended mid-C19 and mid-C20. Timber-frame with painted brick and rendered infill on a coursed rubble plinth with a tile roof. three framed bays aligned east/west with a central chimney stack. East front: two storeys, gabled and jettied with a 2-light casement over a 3-light case- ment. Entrance in south wall through a C20 half-glazed extension. Framing: four square panels high. The jetty has a chamfered bressummer and curved brackets. Gable-end truss rebuilt in C19 flush with wall below, it was originally jettied with brackets to the wall-plates. (RCHM, 3, p 174, no 11).
