Description

The cowhouse, located approximately 20 meters south of The Woodhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a timber-framed upper floor that features weatherboard cladding, topped by a slate roof. The building has a rectangular shape with five bays, oriented north-west to south-east, and consists of two storeys. On the ground floor, there are six square-headed wooden-framed doorways, some of which have ledged doors, and one doorway is flanked by loop vents. Additionally, there are four openings in the loft.
