Description

The Lower Farmhouse cowhouse, located approximately 30 meters to the northwest, is an early to mid-18th century structure. It features weatherboarded timber framing set on a rubble plinth, topped with a corrugated-iron roof. The building has a five-bay plan with a rear outshut, which has been extended to six bays. It is one storey plus a loft. The front of the cowhouse includes two wide entries, likely from the 20th century, along with two smaller outer doorways. The roof is hipped on the left side and half-hipped on the right. Inside, there are queen-post trusses with curved inner principals and upper collars. The left bay is a later one-storey addition that has a 20th-century roof structure. This cowhouse is included for its group value.
