Description

Parsonage Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, extended in the 18th century. It is located on OS sheet as Parson's Farm. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed clunch rubble with flint and brick dressings, and has a plain-tile roof with brick ridge stacks. Originally a single-unit plan, it was later extended to three units. The building is one storey in height with attics. The right-hand end of the front elevation is the older part and features a leaded two-light casement window. The flint bays which were added later are divided into three panels by vertical brick strips and feature brick banding. The extension includes an entrance with a plank door, flanking two-light casement windows, and three hipped dormers. A blocked segmental archway is situated between the two sections of the building. The half-hipped roof is punctuated by two large brick stacks. The rear elevation has two doorways, four casement windows, all with segmental arches, and a hipped roof dormer. The interior remains uninspected.
