Description

The Old Post Office is a small house dating from the 16th or 17th century. It features timber framing with plastered infill and has a thatched roof with brick stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and is one storey high with attics. The front has three bays, which include old plank doors in the left and centre bays, along with a variety of casement windows and one small inset dormer. The end walls and rear of the house have leaded casements. The timber framing displays straight braces, while the right gable includes queen struts and projecting clasped purlins. The interior has not been inspected.
