Description

This barn, located about 30 yards south-west of Hartlands, is likely from the 18th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboards and a rubble rear wall, topped by a thatched roof that is half-hipped to the north. The structure consists of two bays, with an entry at the east and north gable end, and a loft door above, accessed by ledged contemporary doors. Inside, the frame is relatively flimsy, with only one collar beam aside from the corner posts. This barn is part of an important primitive group with the barn immediately to the east.
