Description

This barn, located to the north-east of Hale Farmhouse, dates to the 18th and 19th centuries. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, sitting on a brick plinth, and has an old tiled roof. There are cart doors on both the east and west sides of the barn. The interior consists of four bays, featuring curved braces connecting posts to tiebeams. These support cranked principals, lower purlins, and upper purlins. A lower range of three bays at the south end has curved queenposts and windbraces.
