Description
This barn, located about 50 yards southwest of Turnastone Court, is likely from the late 17th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboarding and finely coursed rubble, topped with an asbestos roof. The structure consists of five bays that are aligned roughly east to west. The sides have woven infill, and there are full-height corrugated iron doors leading to the threshing floor in the second bay from the west end. Inside, the trusses include raking struts connecting the tie-beams to the principal rafters. The west bay is separated by a panelled partition on a rubble cross-wall.
