Description

This stable, located about 20 yards north-west of Gamage Farmhouse, is likely from the late 18th century. It is built from sandstone rubble and features a tiled roof. The structure consists of three bays and has two levels. On either side of the central doorway, there are 2-light casements, and there are tallet stairs leading to a first-floor ledged gable door. Inside, the stable has collar trusses with interrupted tie-beams and V-struts above the collars. It is included in the listing for its group value.
