Description
The Longbarn and the attached barn to the north-west are a barn and cow house, with the latter now converted into a dwelling. They likely date from the 18th century to the early 19th century. The barn features a timber frame with weatherboards, rubble gables with brick dressings, and a half-hipped tiled roof. It consists of six bays oriented west-south-west to east-north-east, with opposed cart entries located in the third bay from the west. The gables have brick quoins and a moulded brick course beneath the half-hipping. The cow house is constructed of brick with a tiled roof and 20th-century casements, and it is a single storey that extends from the east end of the barn towards the south. Inside the barn, there are angle struts connecting the main posts to the ties, above which are raking struts leading to the principals. The cow house section is now referred to as The Longbarn.
